It's been a long nasty election and I needed to get that off my chest...
I can't complete this post without saying something nice about John Kerry. I think it was awesome that he made the decision to call President Bush and congratulate him instead of requesting a delay to count the provisional ballots in OH. Nice job Mr. Senator. I was trying to think of something nice to say about John Edwards but he's probably visiting the other America so he wouldn't hear this anyway...
Something reeks! And it's ABC's political director, Marc Halperin. According to this, this, this, this, & this, Marc Halperin sent an internal memo that instructed his news team to hold President Bush more accountable for his comments than Kerry.
First CBS steps in it. Now ABC's got it all over their shoes...
Wow! There's a Poll on CBS's web site that asks who won the vice presidential debate last night. Here are the results:
Dick Cheney: 17.55%
John Edwards: 80.74%
Neither man. It was a draw: 1.71%
It doesn't matter how much of a Edwards fan you might be, you honestly can not say these numbers are even close to being accurate. And yet, they are right there on CBS's web site.
For the record, Fox News has a poll on their site as well. Here are the results:
Dick Cheney: 47%
John Edwards: 52%
I don't really agree with the results of this poll either but it certainly shows a more fair & balanced view.
If you find yourself in a position where you have absolutely no choice but to watch CBS, keep the information provided above in mind...
Kerry did much better than I expected. And Bush needs to swing by Starbucks on the way to the next debate.
Kerry's comments about a Global Test sent up some major red flags! That guy makes me really nervous.
Bush: "The only thing consistent about my opponent's posistion is that he's been inconsistent."
Here's a few headlines from Google News:
- Bloggers draw blood as CBS forced to apologize
- CBS to name panel to probe Bush story
- Red faces as TV anchor apologizes to Bush
- Network sorry for service lies
- CBS and Rather admit Bush story a mistake
- CBS eats crow over documents

- Triumph of the bloggers
- Admission about memos will likely fuel debate over media bias
- Blow to Kerry as CBS apologises
I've never been a fan of 60 minutes. They take extreme situations and spin them to seem like they are the norm. But now... Wow! Here's all the evidence you need to understand that the news media has a political (liberal) agenda. And Dan Rather... err, um, I mean Dan RatherBiased. What a laugh.
Tonight, Hannity & Colmes had Gary Killian, the son of the late Lt. Colonel Jerry B. Killian (whose signature appears on some of the documents) as a guest. Gary said he and his step-mother were both contacted by CBS before they aired the program. They asked Gary and his step-mother if they believed the documents were authentic. Both of them said they did not think they were authentic. But CBS decided not to consider this information or to include it in their program. Did they even care what their opinion was?
Do yourself a favor and don't watch 60 Minutes or Dan RatherBiased.
I just took a look at Google News. Here are a few headlines that caught my attention!

Wow, check out this GREAT post over at Power Line that exposes the Associated Press in a flat out lie.
A writer for the AP claimed that a crowd booed when President Bush wished Bill Clinton a speedy recovery. The writer even said that Bush did nothing to stop them.
But the lies were removed after people who attended the speech emailed the AP. No apology from the AP. No explanation.
Don't be fooled by the media snakes!
What a fantastic speech. What a night! I thought President Bush did an awesome job!
But Kerry, on the other hand, stooped to a new low. A desperate one at that. He has schedule a midnight speech in Ohio. Doing this on the President's night of the RNC is admission of desperation. What will they do next? Probably just about anything...
Zoinks! Zell took off the gloves, picked up one of Kerry's flip-flops, and smacked him right in the side of the head with it!
It is not their patriotism -- it is their judgment that has been so sorely lacking. They claimed Carter's pacifism would lead to peace.
They were wrong.
They claimed Reagan's defense buildup would lead to war.
They were wrong.
And, no pair has been more wrong, more loudly, more often than the two Senators from Massachusetts, Ted Kennedy and John Kerry.
Together, Kennedy/Kerry have opposed the very weapons system that won the Cold War and that is now winning the War on Terror.
BTW, Senator Zell Miller is a democrat!
Check out: Party for the President

Pretty cool stuff...
Wow. Arnold rocks! What an awesome speech. Here's a few a my favorite parts...
My fellow immigrants, my fellow Americans how do you know if you are a Republican? I'll tell you how.
If you believe that government should be accountable to the people, not the people to the government...then you are a Republican! If you believe a person should be treated as an individual, not as a member of an interest group... then you are a Republican! If you believe your family knows how to spend your money better than the government does... then you are a Republican! If you believe our educational system should be held accountable for the progress of our children ... then you are a Republican! If you believe this country, not the United Nations, is the best hope of democracy in the world ... then you are a Republican! And, ladies and gentlemen ...if you believe we must be fierce and relentless and terminate terrorism ... then you are a Republican!
America is back. Back from the attack on our homeland. Back from the attack on our economy. And back from the attack on our way of life!
Don't be economic girlie men!
The democrats convention should have been titled True Lies!
Click here for the full speech.
At different times, John Kerry has been for and against both Gulf Wars, Giuliani said.
"At this rate, with 64 days left, he still has time to change his position at least four or five more times."
Go Rudy, Go Rudy, Go Rudy, Go Rudy...
Do the democrats actually like Kerry? Or do they just dislike President Bush?
Oh well, just some thoughts on a quiet Saturday morning...
Not as I do.
That should be the Kerry Campaign slogan. After all, Kerry is asking Bush to denounce the Swift Boat ads saying the swift boaters are just doing Bush's dirty work.
But if that is true, then certainly the same logic apply's to moveon.org's ads, right? Has Kerry denounced their anti Bush ads? Has he denounced the blatant spins spun by mr. moore. Of course not.
Once again, this isn't rocket science. A child can see right through this...
Huh? What was up with the governor's wife (Dina Matos McGreevey)? Do you think she'd be standing there, smiling away, if it had been a 20 year old hooters waitress that he had an affair with? I don't really understand her reaction. It makes me a little suspicious.
Why is the media claiming that the recent increase in security at our financial institutions is a political move? Is it because the data is 3 years old? Didn't the 911 commission conclude that the attacks on 9/11 were actually planned several years before the event took place?
The media is quick to cast blame and make judgments. But in my opinion, the media is to blame for a lot of the problems in this country. Both conservative and liberal media outlets. Wouldn't it be awesome if the media didn't have an agenda and just delivered the news?
Kerry's bump aint got no thump...
Gee, I wonder why? Could it be because even the democrats think he's liberal?
A few observations about the DNC.
Last night, the Kerry camp put a higher value on the life of a hamster than they did on an unborn baby.
The Kerry camp is promoting the war hero thing, right? But didn't John Kerry pretend to throw his medals over the fence at the White House when he returned from war?
In his speech, John Edwards painted a picture of America that put the average American living in state of poverty. But the last time I checked, most American families own a house and a several cars. I'm not saying there isn't a segment of America that is extremely poor. Because there is. But when Edwards paints that picture as the norm, it's probably safe to assume that he isn't accurate on other things as well.
The whole DNC smelled of socialism if you ask me...
Last night I had the pleasure of watching Bill O'Reilly interview Michael Moore.
Moore claims that Bush lied about the WMD's. O'Reilly pointed out that Bush made decisions based on incorrect information that he received from the CIA, British Intelligence, Russia, and several other countries. O'Reilly stated that it's not lying when you believe the information you are receiving is correct. Moore asked O'Reilly if Bush told the American people that Iraq had WMD's. O'Reilly said yes. Moore asked him if Iraq has WMD's. O'Reilly said no. Moore said "see, Bush lied."
The fact is, Bill O'Reilly exposed Michael Moore for what he truly is - someone who believes his own ideology so much that he's blind to reality.
Sometimes I think the Freedom of Speechers (those that constantly cry F.O.S.) run on about a 5th grade education. My 13 year old niece knows the difference between freedom of speech and upsetting a crowd of people who paid to be entertained, not vomited on.
But for the sake of the 5th graders out there, I'll explain.
If a business hires you to entertain people, and instead you regurgitate a bunch of political hogwash that upsets the audience, you should be prepared to be escorted out of the building.
See, that's not too complicated is it?
Quick, cover your ears. Arnold said Girlie-Men. Hahahahaha....
I bet the people who are flipped out over Arnold's little comment would probably pay good money to go see Whoopi call President Bush vulgar names.
And you know, if someone calls a group of men a name, and they have a tissy-fit about it, aren't they acting like Girlie-Men?
I was just watching the news and they were talking about the planned protests for the upcoming Republican Convention. Some of the extreme protestors are planning on using gunpowder to throw off the bomb sniffing dogs.
Isn't this type of thing tantamount to treason? Aren't these people acting on behalf of the terrorists?
What's happening to this country?
When President Bush was asked to explain the difference between Dick Cheney and John Edwards he replied, "Dick Cheney could be President."
Zoinks... It's the John & John show. Well, It's probably only a matter of time before Kerry flip-flops and decides he doesn't want Edwards on the ticket. :-)
I read a post recently where someone was talking about the news media. They were complaining about how conservative the news media is. Regarding Michael Moore's Fahrenheit 9/11, they were talking about how refreshing it was. They said it was about time the left-wing had a voice in the media. Wow, I almost fell out of my chair!
I think the person who posted that comment is probably very young. If they had watched and read the news over the past 20 years or so they would probably have a much different opinion.
For me, well I'd just like to find a news outlet whose #1 goal is to deliver the news in a factual, unbiased way. Wishful thinking, right? I guess for now I'll just continue to watch Fox News...
